What do you do when it’s an election year, your school is a polling location, it’s also celebrating it’s 40th Birthday and it’s full of kids who can’t vote for a president? You have a recess equipment election!!!
To celebrate all of this, we are incorporating a vote of our own! The big debate is between two pieces of recess equipment. We have already ordered one cool climbing wall but now it’s up to the KIDS to decide what to order in regards to a “spinner”. The two choices are the F4 and the Gyro. The F4 is represented by the “yellow” party and is a stand and spin activity. The Gyro is represented by the “green” party and is a hang and spin activity. From October 27th-November 4th, students are able to make posters, write songs, speeches and persuasive articles to try and sway the votes one way or another! During the voting on Nov. 4th, our students will ALSO be voting so that they can see how the whole process works! The votes will be counted by an “election judge” from each class then the tallies will go to our “county clerk” (the secretary) and the result will be read that afternoon! Here are some photos of the “candidates”:
**Photo of F4 coming soon!
